The role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Trainer to join our Technical Training Team.
This role is pivotal in developing our market-leading cost capabilities with the consistent application of method-based estimating and assessment.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in achieving the company's corporate goals by enhancing the technical skills of our assessing team.
This involves delivering technical training, carrying out monthly AQA (Assessment Quality Assurance) reviews, and using these findings to mentor, coach, and shadow our team to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Training Delivery: Deliver engaging training programs on repair methods and applications, ensuring the assessing team is equipped with the skills and expert knowledge to deliver on our strategy.
- AQA Reviews: Conduct monthly Assessment Quality Assurance reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Team Development: Utilise AQA findings to create personalised development plans for team members, providing mentorship, coaching, and shadowing opportunities to enhance their skills.
- Curriculum Development: Continuously update training materials and curriculum based on the latest industry trends, technologies, and methodologies in repair.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the technical team and other departments to understand training needs and deliver solutions that align with the company’s goals.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and adjust strategies accordingly to meet learning objectives and performance goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Trade qualification in Panelbeating, Spraypainting or , Mechanic
- Minimum 5 years in the insurance industry with estimating experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Trainer, preferably in repair methods or a related technical field.
- Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing effective training programs and materials.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret AQA findings and implement improvement strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a technical audience.
- CERT IV Training & Assessment (preferred but not essential)
