About the role
As an Assistant Director, you will:
- operate under broad direction and manage staff to deliver on complex policy matters
- lead nationally significant projects
- develop high quality, evidence-based policy advice to address complex and emerging policy issues
- lead and build capability in a small team of APS level staff
To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- high level written and oral communication skills
- the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with key stakeholders and to influence outcomes
- developed leadership skills
- experience in delivering complex policy advice
Eligibility
To be eligible for these roles, candidates must be an Australian citizen and will be required to successfully undergo a police record check. A baseline or higher security clearance will be highly regarded as will policy experience or tertiary qualifications, particularly relating to health, industrial relations, science, regulatory reform, or industries policy
