Williams Martini Racing Team
Randstad is the official partner of the Williams Martini Racing Team, and has been since 2006. Success in Formula One requires the commitment of a talented team performing at the best of their ability. The expertise, spirit of excellence in service and the trust on which we base our relationships across the Randstad network are illustrated every day within the Williams Martini Racing team. Williams combines expert knowledge, high quality service and respect for one another to create a winning team.
Randstad sponsoring the Williams Martini Racing Team makes sense as we share a core value: striving for perfection. Randstad’s ability to attract, coach and retain the best people for its global client base is testament to the fact that we live by this core value. In both the racing world and the HR business, one has to be proactive as well as have quick reflexes to make the best of a situation under all circumstances. Like Randstad, the Williams Martini Racing team is an innovative team with a solid track record and a remarkable workforce.
The Williams Mercedes FW36 is one of the most technologically advanced Formula One cars produced by Williams. It is the culmination of more than two years research and development by the team’s technical departments in Grove, UK, and it incorporates the power unit from the team’s new partner, Mercedes-Benz. Have a look at the Formula One schedule for 2015 here. Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas will be the Williams team’s race drivers for this year’s season.
In January, 2015, Williams Martini Racing has launched the first images of the new FW37 racing car. ‘The notion for the FW37 was to look
closely at the FW36 and its performances,’ says WILLIAMS MARTINI RACING Chief
Technical Officer Pat Symonds. ‘We then went about recognising what had worked
well and identifying and resolving the areas that we felt needed to be
improved. Although the aerodynamics of the car were impressive there is always
room for improvement particularly as we handle the new 2015 nose regulations ’ .

Clipper Stad Amsterdam
Built in cooperation with the City of Amsterdam, the Clipper is a historical reconstruction of a mid-19th century clipper ship. A tribute to the Netherlands’ trading spirit and connection to the sea throughout the ages, the ship also symbolizes Randstad’s global aspirations, international reach and our shared pride in our global operation. During its construction, the Clipper provided work experience and training for 138 people, equipping them with the skills and confidence to succeed in the workforce. The Clipper is fully sea-worthy and offers trainee positions to individuals seeking work experience in operating sailing vessels as well as in the hospitality industry.
The Clipper Stad Amsterdam can also be used for a host of different events; a day trip, a corporate cruise or an event venue. The possibilities are endless, because events can be tailored to your wishes. The crew of the Stad Amsterdam look forward to working with you to make your event a reality.
Just a few suggestions for corporate use of the ship: (business) events, incentives, board and management meetings, workshops, team building exercises or press events. Keeping your target group in mind, the Clipper crew can help you think, organize and take care of refining the concept for your event, day trip or company cruise so that you get the most out of your on-board experience. The service, in combination with the ship's atmosphere, will leave an indelible impression on your guests.
The ship has 14 luxury cabins, a spacious dining room and an open-air bar. The Stad Amsterdam can be privately booked for business events, luxury cruises and adventurous sailing trips. The long room (dining room) has a spacious bar and a small library. It has been furnished in a nautical and stylish fashion. The presence of warm woodwork, the extensive use of brass and the round staircase with elegant spindles are reminiscent of the legendary Cutty Sark (built in 1869, one of only three remaining original clipper ships from the 19th century). The room can be used for a multitude of functions such as presentations, workshops, receptions, or parties, and can accommodate 55 people for a seated and served meal. The room is equipped with state-of-art audio-visual systems for presentations and other multi-media content.

Randstad has a long-standing partnership with VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas). Some might view this as a Randstad sponsoring activity, yet we do not. We believe our partnership with VSO goes much further than that. We have a desire to apply our knowledge and skills to help alleviate poverty in communities outside our regular remit, and partnering with VSO allows us to do so. We support VSO by helping to recruit volunteers on a global scale. Secondly, we offer strategic and practical support, i.e. advice on HR and marketing related issues or using Randstad office space for VSO recruitment events. Finally, we provide some financial support.
