By joining Select Appointments I hoped to get London listed company experience. It was therefore a bit of a shock when it was taken over by Vedior about 6 months later. Although I have been with the company, also as part of Randstad, for nearly 10 years, the time has flown owing to the fast pace of the company and the industry. The fact that the industry is still relatively immature means that the job has continued to develop and grow, so it has not felt like the same job. The main highlights for me have been working on the industry defining company mergers of Select and Vedior and then Randstad and also being involved with extremely challenging projects in many countries.
