Responsibilities:
Teaching:
- Develop and deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses in finance.
- Employ effective teaching methods to engage students and facilitate learning.
- Provide timely feedback and assessment of student performance.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career matters.
Research:
- Conduct high-quality research in finance, leading to publications in reputable academic journals.
- Pursue research projects that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in finance.
- Seek external funding and grants to support research endeavors.
- Present research findings at conferences and academic forums.
Service:
- Participate in departmental and university committees and initiatives.
- Contribute to the academic community through service activities.
- Engage with professional organizations and networks relevant to finance.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines.
- Foster a collegial and supportive environment for academic collaboration and exchange.
- Contribute to the development of interdisciplinary programs and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Finance or a related field from an accredited institution (candidates near completion of their doctoral studies may be considered).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research, and service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative academic environment.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching, research, and service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
- Record of scholarly publications in finance or related disciplines.
- Experience in securing research funding and grants.
- Professional experience in the finance industry or related fields.
