Located in the CBD, this client is a statutory body within Victorian Government. Due to changes within the team, our client are looking for an experienced Finance Officer or Accounts Assistant to step in immediately to assist with transactional accounting duties and assist with transition of personnel

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Process weekly Accounts Payable payment runs using Microsoft Dynamics Navision (NAV)
  • Entering in Purchase Orders
  • Accounts Receivable duties including processing of invoices and allocation of cash receipts and reconciliation to bank deposits
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Assisting with BAS preparation
  • Payroll processing each fortnight
  • Handling employee enquiries and ad-hoc duties as required

The successful candidate will

  • Be available for an immediate start
  • Possess strong communications skills and be capable of taking ownership and responsibility for their work
  • Be able to work independantly where required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision will be an advantage and allow you to start strongly
  • Experience within government or stautory bodies is not essential, but desired
