The company

Our client is one of Australia's largest, data analytical companies. They are a leading provider of credit information and analysis in Australia and New Zealand. The company is continuing to grow and need Customer Service Representatives to assist with various customer enquiries.

The role

As the Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for dealing with inbound queries from members of the public regarding their credit files, and/or business customers in regards to the use of systems, products and services. This is an interesting and varied role comprising of both written and phone based customer service. The contact centre offers a great entry into this company, where you are the first point of contact for customers and have the opportunity to learn on the ground. There are currently 3 roles available due to internal promotion, as this company prides itself on developing its staff.

Main duties include:

- Incoming customer enquiries and complaint handling
- Up-selling of products and services
- Dealing with a variety of queries. For example: billing issues, technical assistance, information on Credit files
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality
- Ensuring all calls are attended to within a timely professional manner
- Updating Internal database
- Working against predetermined KPIs
- Working as part of a team
- Willing and interested to learn about legislation relevant to the role e.g: Trade practices act, Credit Reporting code of conduct

Skills required

- Previous contact centre/ call centre experience
- Clear and confident communication skills- both verbal and written
- MS Office skills and strong computer skills
- Strong administration skills and highly organised
- Ability to handle objections and conflict resolution
- Proven experience in reaching and exceeding KPI'S and or target
- Ability to build rapport
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
