ABOUT US Randstad has been partnering with leading Government departments and authorities across Australia for over 25 years. We are currently working with a highly reputable State Government Department, located in the CBD to source an experienced Data Entry Officer.

Randstad are inviting applications for an experienced Data Entry Officer. Our client is looking to engage staff on a temporary and casual basis.
Key responsibilities may include:

  • Preparing source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
  • Processing customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
  • Entering customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard or optical scanner according to screen format.
  • Maintaining data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
  • Verifying entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or re-entering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.

Successful applicants will possess the necessary skills and experience to be successful in the roles. The ideal candidates will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven data entry experience; With 8000 + Key strokes per hour
  • Good computer skills
  • The ability to work in a busy environment
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • An understanding of data confidentiality
