My client is an Australian Government Department seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst/Consultant to be a key player in their business critical transformation project. This is an initial 12 month contract based in Sydney, CBD.

Outline:

The Business Transition Consultant will report directly to the Program Business Implementation Director and will be accountable for the successful transition of the HR/Payroll business operations from current state to future state as a result of an SAP HR/Payroll implementation. (Please note you do not need to a strong SAP background)

The Lead Business Analyst/Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Build and maintain key relationships with users, and stakeholders to understand their business process and work collaboratively to achieve the required outcome
  • Establish and maintain the process taxonomy required to support the business solution
  • Assess and document the mapping of current state business processes to the taxonomy to identify scope of processes impacted by the solution
  • Determine the impact of functional design to the current state business processes to inform impact assessment to business
  • Lead the development of future state business processes against the baselined taxonomy to address impacts resulting from the functional design
  • Determine and manage operating model changes that result from changes to business process
  • Responsible for conducting and analysing business impact assessments where a change to business process will require senior stakeholder approval, usually due to changes having a significant impact to a business function or role
  • Provide input into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) test case development, with respect to business processes
  • Provide input into Change Impact Assessments and training material, with respect to business process changes

Relevant Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience as a consultant
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of business process engineering and change implementation
  • Strong experience assessing impacts to business operating models related to business transformation
  • Experience working with multiple business units (HR, Finance, etc.) to deliver cross-functional outcomes
  • Ability to develop detailed delivery plans for various work streams and integrate into overall project timelines
  • Able to proactively identify and escalate project issues and risks
  • Willingness to participate at a detailed level to complete necessary deliverables
  • Development and adherence to quality processes to ensure the robustness and reliability of the business solution
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams and manage a complex team environment
