Randstad Education are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and professional Workshop facilitator for a 12-month contract. The successful applicant will be required to help the delivery of programmes, activities and resources as part our clients ‘Smart Skills Initiative’. The programmes, founded in science, technology, engineering and maths – focus on developing design thinking, creativity and innovation Australians. Programmes include activity based workshops, in-person presentations and performances, online media resources. In this position you would be required:

  • Deliver live design, technology and innovation themed workshops and presentations using a range of media to secondary school students and other groups across regional and remote areas through virtual excursions, or in person
  • Liaise with teachers, students and community to engender enthusiasm about opportunities in all fields of design, technology and innovation.
  • Provide open communication to all team members, including the giving and receiving of feedback and effectively contributing as part of a team.
  • Carry out other activities as required in support of our clients Learning Experience programmes, including administration, activity reports and ensuring safe keeping of assets.
  • Safe use of tools and moderate level of manual handling including lifting/moving presentation materials, tools and equipment in and out of vehicles.
  • Work within Australian Government guidelines

This program has been designed to help students increase their confidence and develop creative thinking, problem-solving and innovation skills. To be successful in this position you will have the following skills:


  • Effective communicator with the willingness to share and engender enthusiasm in their audience, particularly with students.
  • Ability to work positively and productively in a changing work environment and under pressure.

You will have qualifications or relevant expertise in one or more of the following or related fields:


  • Design and Technology
  • Secondary Education
  • Industrial Design
  • Electronics
  • Technical Arts
  • Programming/coding
  • Science Communication
  • Engineering
  • Robotics


Demonstrated experience in one (or more) of the following or related methods of programme delivery:

  • Activity based workshops/classroom teaching
  • Online and print educational resources
  • In-person performances/presentations
  • Live video conference


A current registration issued under the Working With Vulnerable People checkThe successful candidate must obtain or hold:

  • Undergo a 'Working with Children' police check
  • A current registration issued under the Working With Vulnerable People check
