The Client

The Role

Quality Manager - To ensure the application of NBN industry quality standards and to ensure compliance with current regulatory and contractual customer requirements for the NBN Project. To implement and drive quality processes in collaboration with the project teams. The position will be based predominately in their new head office in the South east suburbs but will also require the successful candidate to attend site meetings & review meetings with the client.

The Responsibilities

Quality Leadership

  • Provide a lead role at a state level in operational direction and support on quality and process issues for the NBN Projects
  • Promote a culture of continual improvement in Quality performance through a program of communication and coaching of leaders, team members and subcontractors across the state
  • Encourage employees to develop procedures and processes that enhance performance, job satisfaction and productivity

Quality Assurance

  • Develop management systems to ensure all procedures (support documentation and systems) are clearly focused on safe, efficient, cost effective processes to achieve profitable business outcomes in accordance with Client contractual requirements
  • Develop and maintain effective document management and control through a Document Management System (DMS)
  • Develop and maintain the Quality Plans for each Project
  • Manage planned and systematic audits/surveys on the effectiveness of quality-related systems and processes

Client Defects

  • Oversee the receipting, actioning, closing and reporting of Client defects, namely assisting the teams to identify trends and improve overall performance

The Requirements

  • Diploma of Leadership and Management
  • Lead Auditor in Quality Management Systems ISO 9001:2015
  • Experience in delivery of End to End infrastructure improvement projects for the Large Telecommunications companies or the NBN.
  • Experience in using TCSS, Sitehandler and other data bases used by Telecommunication Companies and the NBN (desirable)
  • 5+ years practical experience in the application of Quality Systems to major NBN projects
  • Goal orientated with strong people skills
  • Possess strong planning and analytical skills
  • Be a strong team player with good communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of continuous improvement processes
  • Ability to develop good rapport with team
  • Drives for outcome
  • Fosters collaboration
  • Focuses on the Client
