We are seeking experienced Rescue Coordinators for a shutdown project in regional NSW in October this year and we also have 12 hour Saturday shifts at Altona until May 2017.

You will be responsible for:

  • supervising confined space entries and hazardous/high risk work
  • Ensure on site permitting procedure is completed
  • Detect hazard potentials
  • Implement, administer and assist with risk assessments as required
  • Provide support to sentry staff

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Certificate III Public Safety (Fire Fighting / Emergency Operations)
  • PMAOHS216B Operate breathing apparatus
  • PMAPER200C Work in accordance with an issued permit
  • PMAPER205B Enter confined space
  • PUAEQU001A Prepare, maintain and test response equipment
  • PUAFIR201A Prevent injury
  • PUASAR001A Participate in a rescue operation
  • PUASAR004A Undertake vertical rescue
  • PUASAR005A Undertake confined space rescue
  • HLTFA403A Manage First Aid in the Workplace
  • PUAFIR307A Monitor hazardous atmospheres
  • At least a Certificate 3 in Advanced OH&S Training
  • Analysis & problem solving skills

Experience in a rescue or civil service (such as fire or ambulance) or production sites, and oil/gas sites would be an advantage.

Key Project information:

Dates: Monday 5th – Friday 21st October 2016 / Altona - Saturdays until May 2017

Hours of work: 12 hour day shifts

Location: Tumut, NSW / Altona,VIC
