Experience in oven top, heating & anchorage regulation of coke batteries will be essential. Quailification:  Engineering degree, preferably from a reputed college, with relevant experience as detailed below. Formal training / certification in operations management, safety, technical problem solving/costing would be preferable, but not mandatory. Engineering degree is preferred in chemical engineering or mechanical engineering. Diploma in Engineering may also be considered for candidates with wide & relevant experience. Experience:  • Administration & management of a large CBM operations & maintenance team of more than 500 persons with daily footfall of more than 400 persons consisting of site officers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, skilled workers & helpers in different functional areas of coke oven maintenance.
• Management & leadership of job planning & implementation of systematic maintenance practices through the site's team in all the relevant functional areas viz. Heating regulation, anchorage regulation, mechanical repairs & maintenance, door regulation & repairs, oven top repairs & maintenance, technological cleaning, refractory repairs & maintenance, etc.
• Ensuring that CBM related systems, processes, reports & checklists are followed & implemented.
• Special focus on fugitive emission compliance & door gassing control by adopting suitable practices.
• Understanding contract KPIs well and train the team on relevance & importance of monthly KPI achievement & financial repercussions if the KPIs are not met .
• Proactive engagement with JSW officials on recording & raising operational issues beyond our control that can lower KPI score & push JSW to take necessary corrective actions.
• Implementing monthly technical & operations reports & MIS reports to be circulated internally & to JSW officials.
• Guiding & training the team on technical aspects of coke oven operation & maintenance.
• Understand the site organization & manning thoroughly. Monitor crew & resource deployment on an ongoing basis & take corrective actions proactively beforehand to augment workforce and/or other resources as needed. Special attention will be required to be put on daily duty position fulfilment & footfall not to fall below require level.
