The candidate will be responsible to oversee all aspects of the development and implementation of Manufacturing, Operations and Investment strategies in China. Reporting directly to the SVP Operations, he will also support the daily operations of manufacturing and operations as well as cost reduction, productivity and total quality management initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing & operating strategies
• Establish production arrangements and detail plans to pilot and scale up operations in China
• Develop and implement key work processes and systems to drive quality, service and cost performance. Use productivity and quality management tools and processes to make improvements
• Explore and deploy tools and processes to drive continuous cost improvement. Document all savings from project implementations.
• Participate in developing and improving strategic plans to ensure alignment with the sales projections, revenue growth and profitability in China
• Work closely with the respective teams on technical innovations and technology transfers to China
• Implement all aspects of Capital Expenditure
• Coordinate and implement cost reduction, productivity and total quality management projects
• Review current state of operations and the levels of supply chain performance against best practices
• Monitor supply chain performance, identify bottlenecks and recommend resolution
• Formulate local delivery network and international logistics and freight forwarding plan
• Manage supply chain management standard operation procedures and recommend appropriate improvements

Education & Required Skills
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management
• Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experiences
• Knowledge/experiences in automotive industries would be an advantage
• Experience in operations expansion, joint venture, and supplier management as well as project management
• Willing to relocate to China
