Are you an experienced or newly graduated ECT looking to join a small, cosy centre located in the heart of Central Auckland?
Our client is an independent preschool who is looking for a nurturing and caring educator to join their home-like feel childcare centre. The centre is a gorgeous converted bungalow with a generous outdoor play area and open flow feel inside. Teachers at the centre rotate through various positions to help support and care for the 37 children.
The bi cultural centre follows Te Whariki as their main curriculum framework and for the under 2’s the Pikler philosophy is also used to frame their learning. Given the excellent location, the centre utilses the nearby park, One Tree Hill, for weekly park walks and nature activities for the children.
Role Responsibilities
- Work with centre staff to ensure a safe and nutritious environment for the children
- Rotate with staff to work in different rooms throughout the day; developing relationships with all children
- Incorporate curriculum into daily activities and teaching in a multicultural centre,and observe and assess children’s development and progress
- Collaborate with families to support children’s individual needs and build positive relationships

Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education or NZQA level 7 equivalent
- NZ Teaching Registration (provisional or full)
- Written and Spoken English
- Must be in New Zealand with valid work rights
