Randstad C&P are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the external packages of a new build commercial scheme on the South Coast! The project will involve managing various packages including groundworks and landscaping, whilst assisting in various commercial schemes such as education, retail and leisure. As a pivotal member of the team, selected candidates will be responsible for ensuring the successful planning, execution, and completion of these elements within the project. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with a background in construction to contribute to the delivery of a landmark project.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of various packages on schemes assigned to the Project Manager, offering carefully considered advice on risk mitigation and challenges that arise during the construction of the projects.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing proactive measures to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage contractual agreements, including procurement, subcontractor management, and variations, to optimise project performance and profitability.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to senior management, highlighting progress, milestones, and key achievements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management within the construction industry, especially managing external and civil packages
- Strong knowledge of construction principles, practices, and regulations, with a track record of successfully delivering construction projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate project teams.
- Sound commercial acumen and ability to manage project finances, including budgets, costs, and procurement.
- Relevant qualifications in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field (e.g., degree, HND, HNC).
- Valid CSCS card, SMSTS certificate, and other relevant construction industry certifications.
