Responsibilities
-Working closely with all members of the QD-Technician team and ownership of wear testing,
-Inspecting Samples, providing feedback with foresight into possible production complications and/or eventual quality issues that may result with customer wear and its intentional use.
-Working with cross-functional teams to plan, organize, manage and control the in-season on the body wear testing.
-Regular updates to Product Lifecycle Technical path (PLTP), reporting back to Quality Development Manager. Timely updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) docs.
-Owning the document release and follow-up of PTT & PDT Product Technology Tracker and Full Garment Testing.
-Updates to QA manual & Global quality documents. Record audit data to generate reports.
-Able to work with off-shore offices through emails, conference calls, skype calls.
-Record keeping of QD related docs & Samples.
-Generate monthly/Quarterly quality reports.
-Coordinate sample package shipments to and from overseas vendors and suppliers.
-Own in-house wash tests leveraging internal laboratory.
-Collaborate across QD-Technicians to share & maximize best practices.
Qualifications
-Diploma in fashion or Textiles or equivalent, ISO, Six Sigma, LEAN preferred
-Minimum 3-5 years working experience in technical design, product development and garment production field and/or apparel industry quality control role (required competency).
-Knowledge of fabrics, garment construction and related machinery is an asset.
