Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and protocols for all warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
2. Conduct regular inspections and audits of warehouse facilities, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
3. Lead and supervise a team of quality assurance inspectors and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure consistent and accurate quality inspections and testing.
4. Establish and maintain quality performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, procurement, and customer service, to address quality-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
6. Investigate customer complaints, non-conformities, and quality incidents, and lead root cause analysis to identify underlying causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
7. Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS) and documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality manuals, to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
8. Conduct training sessions and workshops for warehouse staff on quality procedures, product specifications, and quality control techniques to promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement.
9. Monitor and analyze quality data and trends, and prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to warehouse quality management, and incorporate new knowledge and insights into warehouse operations and quality assurance processes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control roles, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
3. Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, statistical process control).
4. Experience in implementing and maintaining quality management systems (QMS) and conducting internal and external audits.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts and information to diverse audiences.
8. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results, with a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
9. Proficiency in quality management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, document control software, statistical analysis tools).
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment, while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
