Job Description
Randstad are recruiting for an independent residential childcare service which provides care to children and young people aged 12 - 18 years old. Our client has been established for over ten years and has several homes across Scotland. Their aim is to offer the highest possible standards of care, support, education and development for the young people that they accommodate.

Responsibilities:
Organisation and Planning
Be responsible for the organisation and planning of one residential team and service.
Ensure the team have compiled care plans, risk assessments and personal plans
Monitor care plan evaluation and written day sheets
Ensure the young person's Social Worker receives regular copies of the young person's weekly reviews, and incident reports
Ensure all risk assessments for the young people, staff and building are written, evaluated, updated and adhered to.
Care Duties
To read, understand and comply with staff guidelines, policies and procedures.
To work within National Care Standards and other relevant legislation.
To work in a positive, respectful and empowering manner with young people and colleagues.
To provide a positive role model for young people and maintain high professional standards at all times.
To oversee the induction of young people and new staff
Monitor and keep up to date with the progress of young people in your care.
To share in the record keeping and administration responsibilities of the team as a whole.
To be successful in your application, you will:
Have 2 years previous experience working in a similar position
Have strong communication skills
Register under the PVG scheme
Full driving licence
Hold Qualified Social Work Degree, SVQ Level 4, or equivalent
