We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Religious Education Teacher to join our dynamic team in Ilkley. This long-term position commences on the 29th of April, offering an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of our students.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)
- Proven experience or relevant qualifications in teaching Religious Education at the secondary level
- A deep understanding and appreciation of diverse religious and cultural perspectives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging and inclusive Religious Education lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students
- Foster an environment of respect, tolerance, and open-mindedness towards different faiths and beliefs
- Encourage critical thinking and reflective dialogue on ethical, moral, and philosophical issues within a religious context
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular initiatives and promote spiritual and moral development across the school community
- Provide timely feedback and support to students to facilitate their academic growth and personal development
