Responsibilities
• Primary lead person conducting sales in the identified regions. Develop relationship with Asian manufacturers and attract them to Approvals
• Be aware of regulatory issues that impact the products which Approvals tests and certifies. Including but not limited to products that fall under the local mark as well as products that are still under a voluntary certification scheme

• Assist Global and Approvals in identifying opportunities to participate in standard development activities in Asia
• Continue to develop the existing relationship with the nationally recognized testing laboratories
• To conduct assigned tasks to assure that the results will provide accurate and reliable data and technically sound and factual conclusions.
• To provide support and information to the Project Leader in a timely and efficient manner.
• Continue to expand on technical knowledge providing support to Technical areas and Quality area, delivering services to Aprovals’ customers.
• To develop competence in a progressively increasing number of engineering or scientific techniques and applications to meet company's objectives.
• To actively participate in scope, budget, contract preparation, testing, data documentation and other routine tasks associated with third party product or service certification and research projects.
Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Technical area with 5 years related experience preferred;
• Technical sales or product management experience highly desired;
• Technical knowledge in products testing desired;
• Familiar with local and/or international codes and standards;
• Certification experience or exposure particularly within fire protection related products a plus
• Familiarity with project management skills including technical, financial, and personnel management;
• Superior written and verbal communication skills;
• Good presentation skills;
• International company experience highly desired;
• Extensive travelling is required for the position
