We are currently in search of a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join this exceptional team.
The Role / Key Responsibilities:
As a Teaching Assistant, your role is pivotal in nurturing the learning and well-being of their students, ensuring they thrive in a caring and secure environment.
Your duties will include providing personalised support, implementing positive behaviour strategies, and cultivating meaningful connections with their pupils. Collaborating closely with the class teacher, you will facilitate engaging educational activities tailored to individual needs, fostering independence and personal growth while maintaining high standards of behaviour.
Flexibility is essential as duties may vary in this dynamic SEN environment.
Skills and Requirements:
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Experience in SEN education, either professionally or through voluntary work
- Possession of a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle preferred
- A recognised Level 2 qualification or above in Support work for Teaching and Learning in Schools, or equivalent, desirable
- Essential GCSE qualifications in Maths and English at Level 2/C or above
- A solid understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
- Knowledge or experience working with SEN or SEMH/ASD students
- Adaptability and a child-centric approach
- A positive, creative mindset dedicated to meeting individual student needs
