Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the establishment and upkeep of the company AML policies framework, ensuring compliance with PCMLTFA/R, FINTRAC guidelines, and FATF standards.
- Deploying AML controls and monitoring measures for new product lines as necessary.
- Supervising a team of AML professionals in their daily management of the AML program, conducting Tier 2 quality assurance, and ensuring timely submission of regulatory reports.
- Offering leadership, assistance, and direction to AML team members.
- Providing AML/ATF guidance to project teams and internal business divisions.
- Crafting and overseeing the AML program's development.
- Creating, updating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks for the AML team.
- Reporting pertinent AML/ATF cases and critical issues to the Vice President of AML compliance.
- Collaborating with leadership to pinpoint and implement processes, systems, and technologies to enhance the efficiency and efficacy of the AML program.
- Spearheading the preparation of quarterly reports detailing the status of the AML program, significant concerns, and regulatory developments.
- Fulfilling other assigned responsibilities as necessary.
Qualifications
For this position, the following skills are required::
- A track record of 5-10+ years in an AML or financial crime-related position.
- Profound understanding of FINTRAC guidelines, PCMLTFA/R, and FATF recommendations.
- Familiarity with BSA and FinCEN considered advantageous.
- Experience with Navaera, Actimize, and Dow Jones technology solutions seen as beneficial.
- Prior experience in reviewing and submitting LCTRs and other regulatory reports considered advantageous.
- Mandatory possession of CAMS certification.
- Possession of ACFCS certification viewed as advantageous.
