We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a well established Machinery client of ours. Our client is an industry leader that is growing and are looking to add an additional Senior engineer to their team. Responsibilities
• Lead the design and development of innovative new products.
• Review engineering changes and process through proper change management (ECR’s, ECO’s, ECN’s).
• Analyze and problem solve engineering issues with creative solutions.
• Configure products for sales orders and produce associated drawings and Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• Peer review models, drawings and BOMs.
• Understand and support in the development of company design standards and procedures.
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering; or mechanical technologist diploma.
• Registered as a P.Eng or ASCT is preferred.
• 10+ year of design experience.
• Proficient with 3D CAD systems, preferably with Autodesk Programs including Inventor and Vault.
• Good problem-solving abilities as well as a good three-dimensional conceptual ability.
• Effective communicator throughout multiple levels of an organization (Customers, Sales, Purchasing).
• Experienced with presenting designs to stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, etc.)
• Understand and use GD&T standards and weld specifications.
• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Cross disciplinary experience in hydraulics is a must, pneumatics and electrical is an asset.
• New product development experience is a critical requirement.
