We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker to join our Children's Disability Team. This role will involve working closely with children and young people up to 18 years old who have autism, as well as their families, to provide vital support and assistance. As a Social Worker in our team, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for the needs of these individuals and ensuring they have access to the services and resources they require to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for children with autism, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to children and their families, addressing their specific needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as health care providers and educators, to ensure coordinated care and support for children with disabilities.
- Offer advice, signposting, and advocacy services to families, empowering them to navigate available resources and services effectively.
- Monitor and review the progress of children and young people under your care, adjusting interventions and support as necessary.
Requirements:
- A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience working in the field of children's disabilities, with a particular focus on autism and mental health.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices related to children with disabilities.
- Flexibility to work in a hybrid model, with some office days required for collaboration and support activities.
