A Warm and welcoming Specialist day local to you is looking for a special needs teaching assistant to join their award winning team starting ASAP. The school is fully subscribed for this academic year and is looking for a fun and friendly TA to support their learners on site. The school supports learners between the ages of 5 and 19 years, pupils at the school have moderate to severe SEN needs. The School is a positive environment with expert and dedicated staff delivering an individualised curriculum focused on promoting effective learning, the ability to learn in new ways and to learn independently. This school supports the most profound learners, some learners require constant 24-hour support and may be perceived to be living in a world of their own. Due to the above the school seeks a committed, resilient and dedicated TA. The school is commended for welcoming all with open arms and is invested in offering excellence as standard. This role is needed on a full time, permanent basis based on a Monday-Friday working week (8:35-4:30pm).

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:
- Ideal candidates will be flexible, resilient and have a positive approach to supporting learners with SEN (direct SEN experience is not essential)
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities:
- Supporting SEN learners on a 1:1, small group and classroom basis
- Communicating with parents and carers over pupils' progress and participating in departmental meetings, parents' evenings and whole school training events
