Job Title: Support Worker - Learning Difficulties and Epilepsy Care

Salary: £12.00 per hour (potentially rising to £12.65 after completion of training)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual seeking a rewarding career in care? We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to provide exceptional care to a young girl with learning difficulties and epilepsy in Heaton, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. This role involves 2 to 1 care, including day shifts, night shifts, and sleep-ins. A driver is essential for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care and support to a young girl with learning difficulties and epilepsy.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Monitor the individual's health and well-being, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Engage the individual in stimulating activities and promote independence and social inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of care provided.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 months experience working with individuals with complex needs, preferably in a similar role.
- Understanding of epilepsy and its management.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate and patient nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in someone's life.
- Must be a female support worker due to the needs and preferences of the individual.
