This incredibly welcoming and inviting specialist school is seeking a permanent teaching assistant to join their award winning team. This school is both a day school and residential setting that supports approx 85 learners from the age of 5 and is over subscribed year on year. While this school is a residential setting this role is only required on the school site and is a term time only role. Applicants for this post are needed on a full time basis (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm).
This school is an independent setting and supports children with moderate and complex needs. Needs include ASD, SEMH, Brain Injury, physical disabilities and complex medical needs. Learners are supported with an individual learning plan that meets their specific needs and interests. The school is committed to supporting the children now and in their future lives. Every child is offered a balanced and broad curriculum, with both indoor and outdoor learning.
Your role will be to support the class teacher and contribute to providing high quality, challenging and differentiated educational activities and experiences through supporting the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aiming at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning.

All applicants for this position must have the following requirements to be considered:
Level 2 Diploma in teaching and learning (desirable not essential)
Relevant support work or teaching assistant experience/ Voluntary or paid experience considered (Must be able to provide references)
Must have: GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities:
Supporting young people with complex needs in a education setting
Working with learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
