The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) in China has called for more measures to be taken to help the country tackle unemployment issues during the economic crisis.
Companies have been requested to report to the ministry any large-scale job cuts being made, as well as notifying them of the schemes in place to ensure as few employees as possible are made redundant.
For those firms facing bankruptcy, the ministry has recommended that unemployment insurance should be distributed as quickly as possible and has outlined the help available to firms in executing these proceedings.
As well as this advice, the MOHRSS has announced that training programs to help the unemployed will be introduced in rural areas.
This notice follows on from a statement issued by the ministry's vice-president Zhang Xiaojian last week, in which he said that all possible measures must be taken to minimize the effects that the struggling economy has on the country's employment market.
