The highest rates of people working overtime in the Netherlands are among male employees and those in full-time positions, new data show.

The highest rates of overtime were found in the information and communication sector, while the lowest were recorded within the construction industry.

An estimated 2.3 million people worked extra hours in 2010, comprising 41 per cent of male members of staff and 32 per cent of women, while 43 per cent of full-time employees did so, compared with 29 per cent in part-time roles.
