India's IT companies are looking to create jobs in the US in an effort to acquire the labor market's best talent, according to an outsourcing expert.
The chairman of the South Asian state's National Association of Software and Services Companies is confident that the US will not resort to protectionist trade or labor migration policies, as the value of "global intellectual capital" is too high.
Speaking to Forbes Asia, Pramod Bhasin, who is also chief executive of Genpact, claimed that Indian firms have a vested interest in hiring in the US, as an economic recovery in the North American superpower will benefit them.
He told the US media organization: "The US is always going to be our biggest market. Several of our companies are already looking to create employment in the country [as] it's the ideal time to get the best talent."
