In order to help boost the economy, job creation and skills shortages need to be addressed to get more people into work in Nigeria.

Dove-CES Industries Nigeria Limited has announced that it is intensifying its efforts to address these issues in order to get more people off the unemployment list.

President, CES Industries, Inc., USA and chief operating officer of Dove-CES industries Nigeria Limited, Mr Ngozi Anyogu, said to This Day Live that the problem with the employment market in Nigeria was not that there were not enough jobs, but rather that the appropriate people are not available to fill them.

This can be attributed to the fact that many people do not have the skills to succeed in a particular job.

Such an issue has also been seen as the cause of the jobs shortages in southern Europe, with many people who have only high school education unable to find jobs because they do not have the required skills.
