Uninor says no job cuts in India
A telecoms firm in India has ruled out the possibility of losing jobs or cutting salaries in the country, despite the fact that it has lost out to a court ruling, as it looks to continue to grow in terms of employment.

The firm, Uninor, had 122 of its 2G licenses cancelled by a court, but has vowed to continue to grow its presence in the market and sustain its employment levels.

"It is the Uninor team that has made the company by far the most successful new operator and it is this team that will continue to do so in the months to come," said a spokesman for the company.

A court had cancelled many of Uninor's 2G contracts last week, as it branded some of them illegal. However, the company said that it will continue as normal.

Jobs in India have seen a boost recently, with Microsoft announcing a boost of 19,000 jobs, should it build a research center in West Bengal.
