US employment surges on in January
The US created more jobs in January than it did in December, as the unemployment figure continued to drop in the country, showing that the country is still moving forward in terms of recovery in the employment market.

In its latest monthly report, the Bureau of Labor Statistics has said that unemployment in the US dropped yet again to 8.3 per cent in January, despite the fall in temporary positions from the Christmas period.

It was also reported that the number of jobs in the country jumped by an unprecedented level. The Bureau said that there were 243,000 new jobs created in the month, a long way ahead of the projected drop to 140,000 new positions.

Last month, the Bureau of Labor Statistics had reported that there had been a fall in the unemployment rate in December as well, with the figure dropping to 8.5 from 8.7 in November of 2011.
