job description

Do you love juggling a million and one things at once? Are you an admin/reception superstar who’s always trying to improve processes? Do you have your Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to get it? Well, you’re in luck!

We’re looking for an Alternate Security Officer on a full-time, permanent basis at our Ottawa branch to work with our amazing IT Staffing team of four. As our new recruit, you’ll have to wear many hats. You’ll:

• Answer incoming calls, deal with customer inquiries while handling mail and couriers
• Greet and sign in visitors/customers and advise arrival to appropriate personnel
• Assist with general correspondence and ad hoc documents
• Prepare using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint - letters, presentations, charts and graphs as required from both written and dictated sources
• Create purchase order requisitions, code and process invoices, process expense reports
• Set up and maintain filing system and file documents as required, assist with preparation of weekly/monthly reports
• Manage the Security screening process (Personnel & Controlled Goods)
• Process Security applications through the government online portal
• Facilitate candidate Security application process

What do you need to join the team? Aside from a ton of charisma, you’ll be professional in nature as you’re the face of the branch, the very first person that everyone sees walking through the door. You’ll need your PSPC issued Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it. Ideally, you’re bilingual (not a deal breaker if you’re not!) and your organizational skills will be out-of-this world. You’ll be a team player (always looking to support our recruiters with ad hoc duties), confident and want to challenge current processes.

As a company, we’ve got tons to offer – a super supportive working environment, beer Fridays and treat day, half days in the summer and a volunteer day on us. If you’re still on the fence, check out our Glassdoor reviews; they speak for themselves. If you love what you’ve heard so far, please apply now.
