Proposal Writer
Department: Marketing
Location: Ottawa
12 month contract

Under the direction of the Director, Proposals & Sales Support, the Proposal Writer will primarily be responsible for bid coordination, document management and proposal preparation, with the goal of understanding business processes and practices, assisting with requests from internal clients and winning business.

Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare written responses to public and private sector RFPs across lines of business;
- Manage the bid process by: scheduling meetings, coordinating assignments for bid teams, adhering to timelines, managing documents and coordinating team activities;
- Prepare vendor forms and other client-related documents (using Word, PPT, Excel etc.);
- Prepare sales and other presentations (using PPT);
- Update and track proposal projects (using Excel);
- Search for and download new RFP’s as required; and
- Conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Proposals & Sales Support.

Education & Experience:
- 3-5 years’ experience in a related role (document management, proposal writing/business writing/technical writing);
- Strong English verbal and written skills;
- French verbal and written skills an asset;
- Excellent MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills;
- Ability to manage large documents with multiple versioning;
- Ability to work efficiently within short time frames; and
- Knowledge of the staffing industry would be an asset.
