The HR L&D director to join our team will be the driving force leading the building of the L&D infrastructure and a learning culture for RSR EMEA.  Inspiring our people is the 1st strategic priority of RSR and the L&D director will be one of the key drivers in delivering this for our people. The goal is to make RSR a great place to work where employees are fully prepared and supported in their role and have the opportunity to pursue their career within the company.

You will be reporting to the HR lead of RSR EMEA. You will be given full responsibility for the L&D function and budget. Currently the team has 3 incumbents all based in Budapest, Hungary. 

The L&D director will review current L&D infrastructure, gather input from senior stakeholders and our people to build a learning culture within RSR supported by a state-of-the-art infrastructure. RSR embraces the 70:20:10 model with focus for 70% on challenging assignments, 20% on developmental relationships and 10% coursework and training. The infrastructure therefore should not (only) focus on training interventions but on the full scope of learning and development.

The L&D director will be responsible for creating learning opportunities which would be a mix between formal training, coaching, mentoring, job shadowing, contributing to internal projects and opportunities at various clients.  In this way our employees build not only expertise but also the (social) skill to work in a fast paced, changing international client oriented and complex environment while contributing to the business.

Competences we are looking for:

  • Builder with rolled up sleeves who works from own strategic roadmap
  • Networker and influencer (internal stakeholder management, mobilize internal workforce, leverage expertise within the team the wider Randstad group)
  • Project Management, make sure progress is being monitored and deliverables are ready on time and according to agreed specs.
  • Monitors quality and steers on continuous improvement in L&D and related areas

Experience we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of L&D experience in HR industry and/or international environment where people mainly work offside
  • Building learning interventions
  • Working and leading in project teams
  • Facilitating workshops and trainings
  • Managing a team


  • University degree (bachelor or master) in HR or education
