About Global IT Solutions
GIS delivers the core IT infrastructure services for Randstad. The department was created in 2015 in order to centralize, standardize and outsource Randstad datacenters and network & Telecommunications activities worldwide. The aim of this centralization and standardization is to ensure Randstad has industry leading technical and security standards in place to streamline IT infrastructure activities and reduce costs. The cost savings generated are reinvested in e.g. digital innovation in order to help make our business more successful.

About Global IT
Global IT is a team of dedicated IT Consultants who are responsible for the strategy and performance of IT worldwide. Randstad is active in 38 countries and each operating companies has IT departments, ranging from large to small depending on the size of the business. Global IT delivers the IT strategy, policies and standards to ensure Randstad has customer centric, effective and efficient systems. Secondly, they facilitate global contracts and projects to leverage our group scale. In addition, Global IT supports the country IT departments where needed. Global IT works closely together with global shared service centers GIS and the Digital Factory)
For  these departments we are looking for a Communications Manager to take ownership of regular and engaging communications across a wide array of internal and external stakeholders who are located all over the world.

The Communications Manager role
We are seeking a self-motivated communications professional with relevant communications experience for successful programme communications in a large corporate environment. Candidate is responsible for setting up, implementing and managing the internal and external communications about Randstad’s digital and IT transformation, as well as assisting project communication. The ideal candidate will perform best in a team environment and possesses solid writing, editing and coordination skills as well as social media experience.

Key activities 
  • Managing internal & external communications strategy: Newsletters, intranet, events, public relations, etc. The role aims to bring together and facilitate the engagement within the GIS and tech & touch (T&T) community and its partners. Internally, the objective is to positively impact the relationship between DF, Global IT & GIS and the Randstad operating companies. Externally, the role includes liaising with press agencies and managing market perception together with the global Marketing & Communications function. The Communications Manager provides guidance to employees in our departments on all matters related to marketing, branding, etc.
  • Project communications: both GIS, Global IT as well as DF drive major transformation programs across all 39 operating companies worldwide. The Communications Manager works with project teams globally to ensure effective and accurate distribution of decisions and changes in management direction and supports project communication.
  • Knowledge management: Responsible for the development, implementation and continued improvement of the GIS and DF  knowledge repository and its artifacts across all 39 operating companies. This includes defining the process and templates to enable capture, management, and delivery of knowledge artifacts. This role works cross-functionally with teams like project management, support, architecture, procurement and the operating companies.
  • Write and coordinate newsletters and ad-hoc email messages, content manager of Google sites and communities.
  • Monitor, measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communications.
  • Responsible for DF, Global IT and GIS branding and the development and maintenance of templates.
  • Responsible for setup, content editor, management and moderator of the DF, Global IT & GIS Google+ community and Intranet sites.
  • Responsible for implementation and management of the customer satisfaction surveys/research, reporting back on the results to leadership and internal teams and oversee the implementation of improvement activities.
  • Coordination of T&T and GIS events for information sharing and learning across global organization.
  • Responsible for coordination of press activities (press releases, interviews, case studies, etc.) in alignment and collaboration with corporate, OpCo’s, and partners. Acts as liaison & SPOC for the press.

The ideal candidate
  • Bachelor’s Degree in communications or similar field 
  • A minimum of 8-10 years experience in corporate and employee communications, preferably in a digital, multinational environment
  • Social media expert with experience in copywriting and drafting content for creation of documents targeting different channels.
  • Experience in working in an IT, digital environment and ability to understand technical and complex. operations and content to formulate effective communications.
  • Fluently in English (speech and written) and fluency in Dutch language.
  • Strong communicator, ability to influence and to be assertive, not afraid to challenge others and take a stance/position, entrepreneurial as well as results driven.
  • Enjoys challenges and able to work under deadlines in a changeable environment.
  • Strong ability to grow relationships and drive cooperative activities across a wide range of teams.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills (writing, editing, interviewing skills)
  • Advanced knowledge of google analytics and social media.
  • Affinity with digital trends and how they impact people and businesses.
  • The ability to develop, execute and align communications plans for DF, Global IT and GIS. 
  • An ability to select and use the most effective communications channels and media.

We pay a good, competitive salary and attractive benefits. As a leader in the world of work, we ensure that you largely compose your own benefits package within a benefit budget. In addition to the regular salary, you will receive a gross monthly benefit budget to be used for employee benefits at your discretion. The total percentage amounts to 12.34% (including 8.5% holiday allowance).
