The Business Development Manager will be responsible for:

  • Generating sales with key accounts, leveraging existing relationships, as well as developing new commercial relationships, develop new value propositions, and work through the full value chain across the space
  • Driving introduction and sales of an Ultra High Omega 3 Algae,as an alternative feed Ingredient in the Greek Aquaculture
  • Structuring and negotiating commercial offers to establish long term customer partnerships and growth
  • Identifing and developing new opportunities/applications for the company's products in Aquaculture feeds
  • Developing of concepts and value propositions for the application of the product as an ingredient and additive in multiple selected Aquaculture species with support of partners or external labs/research facilities where appropriate
  • Developing presentation materials, agreements, proposals, as well as external and internal information gathering and synthesis
  • Working collaboratively with the company in providing input as required to long term strategy, marketing plans and product development
  • Identifying, managing and collaborating with external consultants and distributors as necessary to support Business Development


The Business Development Manager should obtain:

  • 7+ years of relevant Aquaculture experience, preferably including a combination of technical and commercial roles in a top–tier Aquaculture feed technology/product related firm
  • Ideally a University degree in Aquaculture, Animal Nutrition or relevant subject. MSc or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • Ideally be a veteran of the Aquaculture industry or a former employee of one of the leading Hatcheries / fish farms (Ichthyologist)
  • Have a deep understanding of the Aquaculture / Fisheries market in Greece and have a basic understanding of fish feeding
  • Strong national network across the Aquaculture market, including feed producers, and farmers

  • Experience in launching and selling specialty ingredients or functional ingredients in the Aquaculture space
  • Experience in value chain assessment and value chain selling is preferred

  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and approach
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with all levels both externally and internally, in English and another relevant Language

  • Collaborative team player comfortable leading as well as executing, and taking input from multiple sources
  • Be committed to ethical standard and reliable
  • Have a customer support personality: Be able to resolve challenges with creative in solutions
  • Be enthusiastic and have a hardworking personality – thrive to success
  • 50% + travel required
