Position: Deputy Head of Early Years

Required: August 2019

Curriculum: Early Years Foundation Stage, UK curriculum to KS3, IGCSE, IBDP

Location: Beijing, China

Salary: Excellent package

Experience: Minimum 2+ years teaching experience, post qualification

Sponsorship: Single, married teaching couples (with dependents)

Established in 2005, this is a dynamic,very well known and highly respected high performing co-educational independent school catering for 1350 expatriate children aged 2-18 from forty five different countries across six continents. The school comprises three schools, each with its own Head teacher: Early Years; Junior School; and Senior School. They offer the English National curriculum in KS3, International GCSEs in KS4 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma in KS5.

They are situated in the capital city of the second largest and fastest-growing economy in the world, 45 minutes from both the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square. The language of instruction throughout the school is English and the School's policy is to recruit fully qualified, native English speaking teachers, with experience of the British National curriculum and other international systems. Requirements:

This post requires someone with a deep knowledge of child-centred pedagogy and a passionate belief in children initiating their own learning through play. You will be supporting the Head of Early Years in planning and implementing the strategic direction of Early Years and will play a key role in liaising with the other schools' leadership within the school. You will meet on a regular basis with the Deputy Head of Junior and Senior School to ensure that the student learning journey is smooth through the whole school. The progress children make is excellent and a key part of the role is to make the most effective use of pupil data to ensure the best outcomes for all pupils. You will also play a lead role in the professional development of the talented staff and actively involve and enable staff to engage in the future of Early Years. Early Years is an ever-changing learning environment so you will need to manage change sensitively, listen actively and respond to parents, staff and children effectively and empathetically..

The school are looking for teachers capable of fitting in to a British international ENC/IGCSE/IB school. All teachers have use of a laptop computer and all classrooms have LCD TVs. The school is looking for teaching staff with a sense of adventure, a strong work ethic and an enthusiasm for their profession.
