Manager, Human ResourcesBNWH

Reports To:


LOCATION:  Shanghai, Pudong, Lingang (浦东临港)



HR and EHS team members




Establish an effective HR process to support the newly formed JV, create a company culture that supports the future growth of the company.  Proactively work as the business partner with the business leadership to provide HR guidance, advice and support with an aim to build a strong team, enhance organization effectiveness, and achieve business goals.     




1.         Partner with BN global HR to develop and execute HR strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness.


2.         Lead and execute all plant HR initiatives including employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, organizational development and training.  Participates in developing departmental goals, objectives (SIPS) and processes.


3.        Environmental Health & Safety


a)        Work closely with General Manager and Global Safety manager in driving an injury-free workplace through the development and execution of plant and corporate safety goals.


4.        Manpower Planning

a)      Make manpower planning by organization analysis and ensure optimization of resources in each operation

b)      Strategize and develop ways to recruit and attract superior candidates and retain talented employees. 

c)      Manage all aspects of plant recruitment, utilizing the behavior based interview process.  

d)      Educate hiring managers on the competency based interview skills and techniques

e)      Work with the management on workforce planning, regarding quality/ quantity/ source of talents


5.         Compensation & Benefits

a)        Develop an integrated Compensation and Benefits strategy and program to ensure the internal equity and external competitiveness

b)        Continuously review the compensation and benefit structure and  practices to keep  system current and effective


6.        Performance Management

a)        Facilitate the performance management process at BN China

b)        Administrate the yearly salary adjustment and performance discussion session

c)        Drive to build a performance driven culture


7.         Training and Development

a)        Work closely with Global Director of Learning and Development on the implementation of organizational learning and employee development solutions.

b)        Facilitate regular Talent Review and Succession Planning, and ensure the Individual Development Plans are well implemented

c)         Be responsible for developing and ensuring delivering the orientation program to all the new employees

d)        Take an active role in own professional development by participating in educational opportunities, enhancing business acumen by actively participating in management meetings and other on-site learning events, maintain personal networks and participate in professional organizations.


8.        Employee Relations

a)        Facilitate the awareness of the Employer Branding in the company to establish constructive and positive employee relationship

b)        Set various communication channels to create an open and transparent working environment


9.        Change Agent

a)        Drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and initiatives within the organization in order to improve operational efficiency and people management.




1. Strong HR knowledge of Chinese labor laws and relevant legal environment is a must

2. Strong English skills both in written and oral.

3. Highly motivated, confident and outgoing with the ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment.

4. Detailed oriented ,strong problem solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast pace and dynamic environment

5. Outstanding interpersonal and leadership skills; demonstrated ability to assess talent and improve talent assessment capabilities within an organization.

6. Competency in computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office software.





Some travel to the United States and throughout China may be required.




1.        Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management. Business Management or industrial relations.

2.        Over 8 years’ HR relevant and progressive experience in multinational companies, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
