Operation Manager NATURE AND SCOPE: This person reports to Mechanical Plant Manager. 56 employees will report to this person. He/ She is responsible for managing the whole production team and facility maintenance team for all activities in production process areas, including field management, team management, quality management, warehouse management, facility and equipment management and lean production, as to meet the requirements of safety, quality, delivery, cost control to achieve the division’s objectives. The incumbent will lead in solution and implementation of manufacturing/ equipment/ procedure improvement to meet the requirement of safety production establish and maintain communication across functions. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Identify the major, specific end results that the position is responsible for achieving. (Not statements of day-to-day details, duties or responsibilities.) 1. Lead and monitor the production team to obey company Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policy and strictly follow required procedure to avoid any violation behavior. 2. Establish, modify and monitor production management system implementation and effectiveness, and apply lean production methods such as VSA, VAVE, etc. 3. Responsible for facility team management to meet production requirement. 4. Direct, lead and coordinate production activities to meet a predetermined schedule in support of the division’s goals. 5. Cooperate with process team to participate in new products transferring or products up scaling to ensure the task in a timely and effective manner. 6. Responsible for production related data summary and analysis, archive and manage related production documentation. 7. Develop production department goals and action plans for the attainment of goals and insure reporting and tracking systems are in place for monitoring performance. 8. Resolve conflicts between departments and individuals and serve as a resource for production information. 9. Develop employee annual training plan, provide coaching and training to members, conduct performance appraisals regularly. JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS AN EMPLOYEE MUST MEET TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE JOB MANDATORY JOB REQUIREMENTS: (The requirements that an individual must absolutely possess to perform the essential functions of the job.) 1. Typically requires a minimum of 3-5 years related experience in production management. 2. Familiar with facility and equipment management. 3. Bachelors’ Degree in mechanical related discipline. 4. Familiar with ISO 9000/ TS16949 Quality Management System. 5. Familiar with lean methods such as VSA, VAVE and process capability study. 6. Familiar with production regulations and laws and government requirements for environment and occupational safety. 7. Good leadership, team facilitation, problem solving and conflict management skills in production. 8. Good communication and written skills in English and Mandarin and interactive capabilities. 9. Good computer application skill. NON-MANDATORY JOB REQUIREMENTS: (Not absolutely required, but will enhance the applicant’s/employee’s chances for success.) 1. Master’s degree in business or engineering is preferable. 2. Professional certifications will be a plus.
