Applicants should have 5 years Primary teaching experience. You should be familiar with UK curriculum and ideally have taught in a good International school previously. The successful candidate will be a highly committed team player who is keen to contribute to the development of this expanding and forward-looking school. You should have an inquiry based learning approach and be looking to move in to leadership soon.
Applicants must be willing to play a full part in the College's pastoral care and extra-curricular programme. A teaching qualification and a minimum of 2 years experience is required for this role. The school have a highly qualified professional and happy teaching faculty. Teachers are recruited largely from the UK, Australia and New Zealand and from other international schools throughout the world. They will hire from any country without bias as long as they are Western trained and English first language speakers.
Suzhou is a charming city that is situated 80 KM west of Shanghai (22 minutes by fast train). It was recently voted as the second most "liveable" city in China for expatriates. Known as the "Venice of the Orient" it is an ancient city that is steeped in History and culture. However, it has also embraced the spirit of the new China and enjoys all the infrastructure and amenities that are required to make ones life in the 21st Century very pleasant indeed.
