    Role: Access Control Practitioner

    Location: Letchworth

    Rate: £11.71 per hour

    Contract Length: 12 months

    Shift Patterns: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8-4

    Responsibilities:

    • Management and maintenance of access control or restriction of access to police premises
    • Obtaining photographs of officers/staff to produce warrant/access cards.
    • Updating and maintaining records
    • Resolution of access issues to ensure relevant personnel have appropriate access
    • Responding to enquiries and solving problems in relation to access control and building security issues
    • Researching and running sensitive reports
    • Carrying out regular surveys and accrediting the security of police premises and making amendments where necessary

    Essential Requirements:

    • Ability to use own initiative to efficiently solve problems and make informed decisions
    • Excellent ICT skills and working knowledge MS Suite and of products such as Excel
    • Excellent planning, time management and prioritisation skills
    • Sound knowledge of computer based systems
    • Confidence compiling data and running reports

    Desirable Requirements:

    • Driving license and use of a car
    • Knowledge of Police and their internal structure
