Located at Botany, this well known and highly regarded company is seeking a distribution support team member to take over the role of transport allocation due to internal promotion. This role is responsible for effectively and efficiently planning of the transport distribution of goods to customers domestically which includes providing excellent customer service to better support their customers and suppliers. It is responsible for analysing data and providing reports to allow the business to make optimal decisions and ensure customer expectations are met to the highest standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with logistics partners, manage the daily transport requirements to ensure delivery time lines are met
  • Allocate transport and manage inwards / outwards truck management
  • Load planning and vehicle size coordination
  • Understand and adhere to Chain of Responsibility requirements
  • Order and data entry both manual and through automated systems (EDI)
  • Understanding of transport lead times with strong knowledge of Australian geography to book transport time slots
  • Be a safety champion for the warehouse, lead by example
  • Manage and build excellent relationships with all internal and external stakeholders to meet KPIs
  • Knowledge of consigning requirements and systems including WMS
  • Create and maintain benchmark data reports and reporting tools for internal / external stakeholders too inform business decisions
  • Assist the team with daily orders through WMS system and management of stock between orders to meet customer expectations
  • Liaising with external customers updating order status, ETAs and dealing with any other ad hoc customer enquiries
  • General administrative assistance as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience working as a transport allocator in a fast paced environment
  • Experience using an ERP system (ideally MS Dynamics) within a warehouse environment
  • Advanced Excel skills
