Randstad is seeking an experienced Application Specialist/Business Analyst to manage the review and analysis of the organisations business intentions, services, processes and information needs to identify changes that lead to business improvements.

Key accountabilities:

  • Elicit clinical, business and technical requirements using a broad range of engagement techniques including, data and systems analysis, requirements workshops, site visits, process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, event lists, business analysis, task and workflow analysis, and/or viewpoints.
  • Apply technical and clinical expertise in user requirements analysis, translate business requirements into design and configuration recommendations, engage and negotiate with stakeholders and provide leadership in the delivery of safe and high quality solutions.
  • Lead and facilitate design discussions at for clinical solution design and prototype agreed designs into development domains.
  • Maintain and update technical design, business and application support documentation in line with agreed design principles, best practice and quality assurance processes.
  • Review and analyse existing application design to optimise functionality, workflows and usability including perform gap analysis, communicate specific enhancement requirements to relevant support teams/vendors, and coordinate user acceptance testing.
  • Provide specialist technical advice to inform the design for products.
  • Support projects by undertaking analysis and impact assessments including testing, training and business transitions.
  • Provide plain language advice on complex technical issues to non-technical audiences to enable informed business decisions and service level improvements.

Essential requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or extensive experience in managing and supporting clinical information systems; with the ability to elicit, understand and translate business requirements to ICT solutions within a large and complex service industry organisation.
  • Experience in the configuration and deployment of the Cerner Millennium Electronic Medical Record platform, in particular the electronic medication management modules.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with clinical care processes and business analysis skills.
  • Highly-developed analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to analyse and interpret complex information from numerous sources, prepare and present analysis and reports, produce high quality written documentation and presentations in a timely manner.
  • Extensive experience in delivering project outcomes on time and to the expected levels of quality, including the demonstrated ability to identify and manage risks within a project.
  • Well-developed interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, negotiation and communications skills with demonstrated capacity to broker effective ICT solutions with a diverse range of internal and external key stakeholders to achieve optimal business outcomes.
