  • Conducting independent research
  • Manipulating and interpreting large amount of data that contributes to rigorous and robust planning - which in turn feeds into informing economic evidence-based strategic government policies.
  • Provide relevant expertise to Director(s) and Senior / Chief Economist(s)
  • Supporting junior staff in the development of research framework, and economic and data analysis capabilities.


  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, or data analysis - preferably within the Federal Government framework.
  • Outstanding command of relevant statistical software / packages - SQL, R, Python, SAS etc.
  • Outstanding communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Relevant qualifications.


  • Minimum of a baseline security clearance is not essential, but highly desirable.
  • Have a flair for constructing reports to tight timeframes that are relatively free from jargon.
