About the role

Reporting to the Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary projects to review certain program improvements and develop regulatory and administrative systems across the nation. You will support the effective and consistent implementation of regulatory practice across the nation by supporting staff with the development of efficient methods, processes, resource materials and compliance tools for the upcoming project. You will build collaborative relationships with a range of stakeholders internal and external to the department and will oversee the identification and management of staff training needs for regulatory best practices. In addition, you will share knowledge of contemporary practice and industry trends for administering regulation and provide authoritative advice to senior stakeholders on the implications for policy and practice.

The successful person

You will have a project background and demonstrable experience in coordinating large scale, multidisciplinary projects through all phases of the project life cycle. You will also have:

  • An analytical and problem solving background with proven experience in utilising this expertise to interpret trends and facilitate complex evidence based solutions to achieve results
  • Experience in leading and managing strategic and operational responses (particularly in a regulatory context)
  • A proven track record in a project team
  • The ability to build and maintain effective professional and consultative relationships and to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Proven expertise in the preparation of complex and substantial documentation including briefing papers and reports
  • A basic understanding of procurement
