Fantastic opportunity for a Diploma qualified, Lead Educator to step up into a 2IC position in the Gladstone area!

You will be working alongside a strong Director in a long-standing team within a beautiful centre boasting fantastic facilities, large play spaces and a massive outdoor play-area.

YOUR ROLE

As Assistant Director, your primary responsibility is to support the Director in all aspects of running the centre. This includes dealing with parents, assisting with Admin and generally helping the director in the day-to-day operations of the centre.


Requirements

  • an Early Childhood Degree or ACECQA approved equivalent
  • a current Working with Children Check or equivalent, current driver’s licence, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
  • a love of early childhood education
  • experience developing portfolios for each child
  • the skills to lead other educators, motivating them to excel as they deliver care and education programs
  • a proven ability to build and nurture respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships with children and their families
  • a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
