AJ&C are looking for an experienced Senior Architect to join the team with a focus on our growing Education sector, based in Sydney. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering projects from inception to completion.

AJ+C is a leading multi disciplinary Australian architectural firm offering experience, integrity and innovation. They specialise in delivering award-winning buildings, urban design and interiors projects at various scales, from smaller detailed design projects to complex large scale masterplans. You will be working with a dynamic and energetic team of around 80 in the Chippendale office. With real prospects for internal career advancement and internal and external training the role will suit someone who is driven, motivated and ready to take on a challenge.

You will have an interest in sustainable design, be committed to high quality outcomes and high standard of service.


  • Lead the development of design solutions through analysis, communication and balancing of objectives.
  • Delivery of detailed Architectural design in Concept, DD, DA, Tender and Construction packages that meet client and AJ+C’s objectives.
  • Develop and implement project planning with staff.
  • Self-directed provision of construction services on projects of a moderate complexity and size.
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Drive client communications and negotiations as well as brief, budget and program monitoring.
  • Assist the Project Directors with business development opportunities.


  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience post-graduation
  • Registered architect
  • Fully proficient in Revit.
  • Good communication skills including careful listening, effective presentation and writing skills.
  • Ability to effectively influence senior leaders and management
  • Ability to perform well in a collaborative, team environment
